I keep Handwriting by Michael Ondaatje on my night table.

Is there an author you can’t wait to read next?

There are many I can’t wait to read next. Ottessa Moshfegh, Myriam Gurba, and Maggie Nelson come to mind.

What are you working on now? What can VIDA fans look forward to from you next?

At the moment I’m editing my forthcoming book from CCM, Bruja, which will be released 10/31/16. I’m keeping a public notebook on tumblr and have a feeling some of what’s there, its revisions and new incarnations, may end up in the next thing.
