VIDA ANNOUNCES THE VIDA REVIEW
& NEW MANAGING EDITOR, MARCELLE HEATH!
September 12, 2016 — VIDA is excited to announce the VIDA Review! Due to the increased attention to the noteworthy content so many amazing writers have shared on the VIDA platform, we are establishing a formal name for the content we’ve published for the past two years: welcome to the VIDA Review!
Work published in the VIDA Review has been highlighted in The Atlantic, The Review Review, and Coldfront, and was featured as one of Autrostraddle’s best longreads of 2015. If you’re interested in submitting your work to us, please read our submissions guidelines.
We are also excited to announce that Marcelle Heath will be taking over for Sheila McMullin as the VIDA Review Managing Editor. Amy King remains the Editor-in-Chief.
We are grateful to Sheila for her many years of service to VIDA and we are thrilled that she will now be working with our Events Committee, chaired by Melissa Febos, to expand our outreach in Los Angeles, and with our development committee. She will continue to serve as the Survey Team Lead for our annual VIDA Count.
VIDA is a non-profit feminist organization committed to creating transparency around the lack of gender parity in the literary landscape and to amplifying historically-marginalized voices, including people of color; writers with disabilities; and queer, trans and gender nonconforming individuals.
