Ellen Darion’s fiction and nonfiction have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Epoch,Under the Sun, Defunct, and other publications.She taught creative writing and composition at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her M.F.A., and has tutored high school and college students. She has edited and contributed to textbooks for publishers including Houghton Mifflin, Allyn & Bacon, Pearson, Bedford St. Martin’s, Oxford University Press, and Macmillan. She lives with her husband and two inherited cats in Southold, NY, where she tutors for Community Action Southold Township, grows things, counts birds, and takes very long walks.
