Amber Gallant is a writer and essayist currently living in Cardiff (the lesser-known town in California, not the Welsh capital, though she thinks that’d be great). She works as a library staffer by day, where she helps to increase access to research materials and shares her enthusiasm for the magnificent role libraries play in society. She is passionate about intellectual and cultural histories, as well as environmental justice, and is working on a collection of stories about the psychological impacts of climate change. On a regular night, you can find her testing out a new recipe, swing dancing, or petting the neighbor’s cat when it sneaks into her backyard.
