Emily del Carmen Ramirez is native to the tough streets of Brooklyn, NY, which inspire much of her fiction and non-fiction work. She’s a senior comparative literature and creative writing double major at SUNY Geneseo. Emily is passionate about literature that is rooted in social activism and is currently working through an infinite reading list. She’s fluent in English, Spanish, and most recently, Portuguese. Despite being nervous about what the future holds, she pictures herself writing content for a publication that highlights the stories of marginalized communities. She currently tutors at her school’s Writing Learning Center and writes articles for The Lamron, SUNY Geneseo’s student-run newspaper.
